Job Title : Product Manager
Location : Mumbai / Bengaluru  | Experience : 2 - 4 years | Team : Product

Role Overview:

The Role As a Product Manager at SolarSquare, you will own products and problem areas that sit at the heart of our field-facing operations - spanning sales execution, installation and project management, and post-install service workflows. This is a hands-on role where product decisions directly affect how our teams on the ground work, and how reliably we deliver for customers. We are looking for PMs who are sharp, structured thinkers - people who may not come with direct field-ops experience but are genuinely curious about how things work on the ground, and willing to spend real time with the teams doing the work. You will work closely with operations, engineering, design, and analytics teams to translate complex, real-world problems into scalable systems and workflows that enable rapid business growth.

Scope & Ownership
● Own one or more clearly defined business problems, products, or operational domains end-to-end (for e.g. field-force coordination, sales execution workflows, order and project management, or service and AMC scheduling)
● Improve operational efficiency by reducing manual effort, exceptions, and recurring escalations through better system design.
● Drive product discovery through close engagement with on-ground teams - sales consultants, operations coordinators, and service field staff.
● Translate operational needs and constraints into clear product problem statements, requirements, and execution plans.
● Work with engineering and analytics to define success metrics, track impact, and iterate post-launch.
● Make trade-offs between speed, cost, and robustness while building solutions that scale reliably.

What We're Looking For
● 2-3 years of product management experience; ops-heavy, workflow-driven, or internal tooling contexts are a plus but not a requirement.
● Strong problem-framing and structured thinking skills; comfortable working with ambiguity and incomplete data.
● Ability to take ownership, make decisions, and drive outcomes in cross-functional environments.
● Systems mindset - able to understand how different parts of an operational flow interact and where leverage lies.
● Genuine willingness to engage deeply with on-ground/ field teams.
● Data-aware and outcome-driven, using data to inform prioritization and decisions.
● Comfort working with engineers on PRDs, tradeoffs and execution; familiarity with analytics or SQL is helpful but not mandatory.
● Prior exposure to domains such as logistics, supply chain, field services, or B2C sales operations is a bonus.
