We are looking for a talented and experienced Backend Developer (Node.js) to join our engineering team at SolarSquare. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the backend systems that power our customer-facing applications and internal platforms. You will work closely with frontend engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver scalable, reliable, and high-performing solutions in the clean energy domain.

Design, develop, and maintain server-side applications using Node.js

Build and manage well-documented and scalable RESTful APIs

Integrate with both internal and third-party services

Collaborate with frontend developers to ensure smooth end-to-end system integration

Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues

Follow best practices in code quality, testing, and documentation

Implement core services like caching, logging, and monitoring

Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and sprint planning

Deploy and manage services using Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)

Work in an agile environment and contribute proactively to team goals

3+ years of backend development experience, primarily using Node.js

Strong knowledge of JavaScript, SQL/NoSQL databases, and asynchronous programming

Experience with REST API design, event-driven architecture, and microservices

Hands-on with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)

Familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD)

Comfortable using Git and version control tools

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
