Role Overview
As a CNOC Engineer (Technical Support Engineer), you will play a key role in ensuring the seamless performance and maintenance of rooftop solar systems. You will support on-ground teams with commissioning and troubleshooting, monitor system performance via SCADA and analytics tools, and collaborate across departments to maximize plant efficiency and uptime. This role is critical to our operational excellence and customer satisfaction strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Provide remote technical support during the commissioning and testing of solar inverters and balance-of-system components.
Monitor solar plant performance using SCADA systems and online portals, ensuring optimal energy generation and uptime.
Analyze generation data to identify technical losses, inefficiencies, or anomalies, and recommend corrective actions.
Prepare and present monthly performance reports comparing actual vs. expected generation, with deviation analysis.
Guide on-site teams through remote troubleshooting, ensuring timely resolution of issues with minimal downtime.
Collaborate closely with site engineers, project coordinators, and internal stakeholders to streamline O&M activities.
Maintain accurate records of system performance and interventions using MS Excel, Google Sheets, and internal tools.

Key Requirements

  • Education: B.Tech or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or Renewable Energy Engineering (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Experience: 2–3 years in solar power plant commissioning, operations, or maintenance.
  • Technical Tools: Proficiency in MS Excel, Google Sheets, and SCADA platforms; experience with ERP tools is an advantage.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret technical data, identify root causes, and drive data-informed solutions.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Hindi for effective team coordination.
  • Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with solar PV systems, inverters (string/central), and energy storage systems is highly desirable.

Other Requirements

Location: Preferred location is Bhopal, but candidates from other regions will be considered.
Travel: Willingness to travel occasionally for on-site support, troubleshooting, or commissioning tasks.

Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
Customer-focused approach with a sense of ownership and accountability.
