Role Overview
As a Zonal Sales Manager, you will own the business performance of your assigned zone—overseeing multiple cities, sales teams, and field operations. You will lead from the front, driving aggressive revenue growth, developing local teams, and ensuring world-class customer experience across the zone.
Key Responsibilities
🔹 1. Business Strategy & Sales Leadership
- Drive the sales strategy, planning, and execution across multiple cities in the zone.
- Own revenue targets and sales KPIs (lead conversions, activation pace, team productivity).
- Identify regional business opportunities and spearhead market penetration strategies.
- Create and oversee city-specific sales plans aligned with company growth objectives.
🔹 2. Team Building & People Management
- Recruit, onboard, and mentor a team of City Managers, Team Leaders, and Field Sales Consultants.
- Foster a high-performance sales culture built on ownership, hustle, and customer-first thinking.
- Drive productivity through regular training, on-ground coaching, and performance reviews.
- Align the team to org goals through daily huddles, weekly business reviews, and individual development plans.
🔹 3. Customer Experience & Fulfillment Coordination
- Take end-to-end ownership of customer journey—from lead capture to post-installation.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders (logistics, engineering, finance, customer support) to ensure seamless execution.
- Track delivery timelines and address escalations to maintain customer delight and NPS.
- Implement processes for collecting feedback and improving service delivery.
🔹 4. Channel Expansion & Marketing Support
- Open new cities and local partnerships to expand SolarSquare’s footprint in the region.
- Identify and activate high-impact offline marketing channels like housing societies, exhibitions, and local influencers.
- Work with the marketing team to localize campaigns and improve lead inflow.
🔹 5. Operational Efficiency & Reporting
- Ensure efficient use of CRM tools, dashboards, and reporting formats to monitor performance.
- Set up governance structures like weekly reviews, field audits, and SOP compliance.
- Track sales funnel metrics and plug leakages to optimize cost per acquisition.
Qualifications & Skills
Must-Have:
- Minimum 2 years of team handling experience (managing at least 8–10 direct or indirect team members).
- 5+ years of total experience in B2C field sales—preferably in solar, telecom, consumer durables, or mobility.
- Strong P&L understanding and business judgment to run your zone like a mini-startup.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively across cities in the assigned zone.
- Age Limit up to 32 years.
- Regional language (Telegu) is a must.
Good-to-Have:
- Experience in a fast-paced startup or early-stage growth environment.
- Prior exposure to green energy, real estate, or capital goods industries.
- Ability to use CRM tools, Excel, and dashboards to drive decisions.
