About the Role:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and process-driven Quality Engineer for Materials to oversee the quality planning, inspection, and assurance of PV module mounting structures. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the structural reliability, compliance with standards, and seamless coordination between factory, design, and execution teams. This role is vital for maintaining product integrity across incoming materials, manufacturing processes, and final assemblies.

Key Responsibilities:

Primary Responsibilities:

Quality Planning:
Develop Quality Plans specific to PV mounting structures
Prepare and review QAPs (Quality Assurance Procedures) and ITPs (Inspection Test Plans)
Ensure adherence to applicable standards (IS, IEC, ASTM, ISO, etc.)
Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for compliance with project quality norms
Material Inspection & Verification:
Conduct inspections on incoming raw materials like aluminum, galvanized steel, and fasteners
Verify dimensions, MTCs (Material Test Certificates), surface treatment, and corrosion resistance
Ensure traceability and batch-wise documentation
In-Process Inspection:
Inspect fabrication and assembly processes at factory/site
Validate welding quality, drilling/hole alignments, torque on fasteners, and placement accuracy
Check compliance with design drawings and technical specifications
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain inspection reports, NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions)
Prepare and manage as-built dossiers and final quality documentation
Create dashboards and summaries for regular reporting to management

Travel & Other Requirements:

Travel to supplier or project sites may be required
Should be open to work at factory/shop floor conditions
Local accommodation near factory preferred
